Casa Verde 2026 at a glance

What is Casa Verde Baterii 2026?

Casa Verde Baterii 2026 is the grant programme run by AFM (Romania's Environmental Fund Administration) for private individuals who are already prosumers and want to add a storage system for the electricity generated by their solar panels. The programme budget for 2026 is 400 million lei.

How much does AFM fund for a battery?

According to the funding guide approved by Order no. 1904/2026, AFM covers at most 75% of the eligible costs, but no more than 15,000 lei (VAT included), for a storage system of at least 10 kWh. Eligible costs are capped at 1,500 lei per kWh, and the rest, at least 25%, is your own contribution.

Who can receive Casa Verde Baterii funding?

Private individuals with prosumer status, meaning their solar panels are already installed and connected to the grid, on a home used for residential purposes. Anyone who already has a battery can take part only if they paid for it themselves, not through another funding programme.

When do applications for Casa Verde 2026 open?

AFM has not yet announced the date or the application period for 2026. The conditions on this page are those in the funding guide approved by Order no. 1904/2026. Files are selected in descending order of score, not in the order they are submitted.

Score calculator

Calculate your estimated score

The score has two criteria, each worth up to 50 points: battery capacity and your own contribution. It updates as you fill in the fields.

Eligibility

The programme funds batteries added to PV systems that are already installed and connected to the grid.

Your project

Enter the battery capacity and the project value. The amount requested from AFM is filled in automatically with the maximum allowed; you can lower it to see how your score goes up.

Minimum 10 kWh.

Does not affect the score; it helps us with the quote.

Includes the battery and installation. The inverter and other non-eligible costs increase your own contribution, but not the AFM funding.

The less you request from AFM, the higher your own-contribution score.

Indicative score, based on the funding guide approved by Order no. 1904/2026. It does not guarantee approval.
