Documentation & approvals

Electricity connections, power increases, design, advice and maintenance: we handle the paperwork, the design and the dealings with the distribution system operator.

Paperwork and approvals, handled for you

We take care of all the technical paperwork required: the grid connection file, prosumer status and, where applicable, the funding application file for Casa Verde, the Romanian state-funded PV programme (AFM).

Electricity connection advice

Need a new electricity connection, or want to move or alter the one you have? We explain what each option involves and which documents you will need. We prepare the application, submit it to the distribution system operator in your area and keep following it until the work is carried out.

Who it is for: Home and business owners who are building, expanding or need a different electricity supply point.

What's included

  • Working out together what fits your case: a new connection, a move or an alteration
  • The list of documents required by the distribution system operator in your area
  • Preparing and submitting the application
  • Following the approval, step by step, until the work is carried out

Frequently asked questions

What documents do I need for a new electricity connection?

The exact list is set by the distribution system operator in your area and varies with the type of supply point. As a rule, you need the connection application, proof of identity or the company's documents, the document proving your right to the property and a site plan. We tell you from the start what is required in your situation.

Can I move or alter an existing electricity connection?

Yes, an existing connection can be moved or altered, but only with the approval of the distribution system operator and on the basis of the documentation it asks for. We look at your situation, explain the options, prepare the application and follow the approval until the work goes ahead, so you do not lose time on repeat visits.

Power increases

When you add large appliances or expand your solar PV system, the capacity approved for your supply point may no longer be enough. We work out how much power you need, draw up the power increase application and see it through with the distribution system operator in your area, right up to the change in your contract.

Who it is for: Homes and businesses that have outgrown, or are about to outgrow, their approved capacity — including prosumers expanding their system.

What's included

  • Calculating the power you need, based on what you run
  • The power increase application, submitted to the distribution system operator
  • Your prosumer application file brought up to date with the new installed capacity
  • The approval and the change to your contract, followed through to the end

Frequently asked questions

What documents do I need for a power increase?

A power increase is requested from the distribution system operator in your area, through an application accompanied by the documents for the supply point and the details of the new appliances or equipment. The full list depends on the operator and your situation. We calculate the power you need, prepare the application and tell you which documents to send us.

When do I need a power increase if I have solar panels?

You need a power increase when the power you want to install or use is higher than the capacity approved for your supply point. This often happens when you expand your solar PV system or add large appliances. We check your currently approved capacity and tell you whether an increase is needed and how your prosumer application file is updated.

Solar PV system design

A system designed properly from the start spares you changes along the way. We size the installation to your consumption and your roof, choose the right equipment and prepare the technical documentation you need for the grid connection.

Who it is for: Owners of homes, business premises and industrial units who want a new system or an extension of an existing one, single-phase or three-phase.

What's included

  • Sizing based on actual consumption and the space available
  • Equipment selection: panels, inverter, batteries and protection devices
  • Single-line diagram of the installation
  • Technical documentation required by the distribution system operator
  • Protection settings required for three-phase and commercial systems

Frequently asked questions

What does the design of a solar PV system include?

The design covers sizing the system to your consumption and your space, the list of equipment chosen, the single-line diagram of the installation and the technical documentation required by the distribution system operator. For three-phase and commercial systems, the protection settings are added. The installation is carried out and the grid connection file is submitted on that basis.

Why is a single-line diagram needed for a solar PV system?

A single-line diagram shows, on one line, how the panels, inverter, batteries, protection devices and grid connection point are linked together. The distribution system operator asks for it in the technical documentation, to check that the installation can be connected safely. It also helps the electricians during installation and any later work on the system.

Solar PV advice

Not sure where to start? We begin with your electricity bills and tell you, in plain language, what system size suits you and which type of system is worth it. You find out early on what being a prosumer means and which funding programmes you could apply for.

Who it is for: Anyone thinking about solar panels who wants to make an informed decision before asking for quotes.

  • With or without batteries: when storage is worth it
  • Prosumer status, explained simply
  • Funding programmes, including Casa Verde 2026

Frequently asked questions

Grid-tied or hybrid solar PV system: which should I choose?

A grid-tied (on-grid) system covers your daytime consumption and exports the surplus to the grid, while a hybrid system can store energy in batteries for the evening or for power cuts. The choice depends on your consumption pattern, how much you are at home during the day and your budget. We analyse your bills and recommend the right option.

Is it worth adding batteries to my solar panels?

Batteries are worth it when you use a lot of electricity in the evening or overnight, when you want to use as much of your own energy as possible, or when you need power during outages. If most of your consumption is in the daytime, a system without storage may be enough. We show you both, based on your consumption.

Solar PV maintenance

A solar PV system works for years on end, and a regular check keeps it at the output it was designed for. We inspect the installation, take the electrical measurements and compare its output with what you should be getting. At the end you receive a clear report with what we found and what we recommend.

Who it is for: Owners of residential and commercial systems who want to know what condition their installation is in.

What's included

  • Visual inspection: panels, mounting structure, cables and connections
  • Thermal imaging, to detect hot spots
  • Electrical measurements
  • Insulation resistance testing
  • Actual output, analysed from the monitoring app
  • Written report with findings and recommendations

Frequently asked questions

What does maintenance of a solar PV system involve?

Maintenance means a full check of the installation: a visual inspection of the panels, mounting structure and cables, thermal imaging to detect hot spots, electrical measurements and insulation resistance testing. We also look at the output recorded in the monitoring app. At the end you receive a report with findings and recommendations, so you know exactly what needs doing.

Why are my solar panels producing less than they used to?

The most common causes are dirt or shading on the panels, loose connections, a faulty panel or string, and incorrect inverter settings. Part of the drop is normal wear over time. With an inspection that includes thermal imaging and electrical measurements, we find out where the loss comes from and what is worth putting right.
